WordPress provides several different methods of installing plug-ins. You can use the Add New page in the WordPress administration panel to search for plug-ins from the WordPress plug-in directory and automatically download and install them. The Add New page also includes a form that you can use to upload other plug-ins. You can also install plug-ins by extracting them and manually uploading them to your Web server, which is the way plug-ins were installed before the Add New page was introduced.
Log in to your WordPress site as an administrator.
Click “Plug-ins” at the left side of the WordPress dashboard and click “Add New” under the plug-ins header.
Type a plug-in’s name into the search box and press “Enter.”
Click the “Install” link to the right of the plug-in you want to install and click the “Install” button on the plug-in’s page.
Click the “Activate” link after WordPress finishes installing the plug-in.
Upload a Plug-in
